I have 2 nephews who work on security in a very rough part of Wolverhampton and as much as they are lovely guys, they are absolute nails and amazing at their job! They can usually tell a shoplifter by his or her shoes. The reason is because shoplifters can steal a sharp suit and aftershave etc to help disguise the stereotypical criminal look, however it’s harder to steal shoes as only one is on display in every shoe shop. Shoplifters very rarely make the effort to buy fitting shoes so it can be a giveaway.
I used to teach a young girl bass and I used to dread it for days before the lesson purely because she had the smelliest shoes ever. Although it was 15 years ago she still haunts my dreams and I wouldn’t ever want to meet her again let alone work with her. I don’t remember her name or ability, all I remember is the death smell like a fat stinky fart!
Austin Powers also got hit in the face with a shoe! This is not relevant but it did happen and therefore is shoe related!
We are a judgemental species and shoes can have a lasting impression on us. Maybe have a think about your footwear, after all you very rarely see successful people in knackered old shoes.
